The daily goings-on in the small town of Rome, Wisconsin are definite proof that real life is often stranger than fiction. From the murder of the Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz to a student who brings in a severed hand for show-and-tell, and a menopausal woman who runs over her husband with a steamroller, Sheriff Jimmy Brock has seen it all. Indeed, behind the tidy picket fences of this quirky little town lie all the same problems and prejudices found in the big city, except in a small town everyone seems to know everyone else's business — or thinks they do!

  • One of the best TV series of all time.

Entertaining, quirky and comedic, but fearlessly takes on a wide array of complex personal and societal issues. A little dated around the edges, but holds up very, very well. The writers were unafraid of painting themselves into a corner and then finding a way out, week after week. Absolutely amazing and well worth your time. There’s a reason this show has gotten such consistently great reviews.

I started watching this show just to watch something and I instantly got into it! I watched like 5 episodes in one night. Never thought I would considering it's not a show from my generation. Please make the rest of the seasons available. I really want to continue with the show.

I watched this show religiously while it was aired. All the actors make the situations seem real. The writing and acting was some of the best on tv anytime. I will buying season 2 and any others that i-tune is able to bring to the store.
  • Great Show...

This is one of the best shows that have been around. The stories, while most of the time quite out there, express real issues and make them entertaining to watch. Holly Marie Combs and Lauren Holly are amazing actresses also who add so much to the show. In all, it is a great cast and very good show. Definitly worth buying. Hopefully the other seasons will be released very soon.
  • The Great One

Long before he created Ally McBeal, David E. Kelley created this quirky, thought provoking, sometimes political show. The cast includes actors that were unknown at the time, Don Cheadle as the attorney, Lauren Holly (Dumb and Dumber), and Holly Marie Combs (Charmed). The cast also includes Tom Skerrit, Kathy Baker, and Zelda Rubenstein (remember her as the psychic from Poltergeist???). The show included episodes about animal sacrifice/freedom of religion, public figures posing nude, and spontaneous combustion (one of the most memorable episodes to watch). The show can be compared to a better written, more dramatic, Eureka, with the quirkiness of Pushing Daisies. All episodes are very well written and acted, and you could forsee Don Cheadle's future success, and Lauren Holly's popularity grow enough to be in Dumb and Dumber and Mrs. Jim Carrey number 2. Excellent show. I am so happy it is finally available. Don't miss one episode of this charming, quirky, heartwarming, thought provoking show!!!
